Molly's Manger tells an interesting view of the Christ Child's arrival. It is a beautifully illustrated book with fun vocabulary. The search for the hidden object will interest preschoolers/ kindergartners as well. With the focus placed on Christ, an amazing change of heart/ attitude takes place. Molly's Manger is a great addition to a child's Christmas library.

This is a cute little nativity story that is perfect for sharing with the smallest members of the family. It focuses on the animals in the stable and how discontented they were until they looked on the baby Jesus. And isn't that just like people today? Grumbling and complaining until we look to the Lord. This is an adorable story and the illustrations are delightful.

When you spend as much time as I do reviewing adult books, it’s refreshing to review one for small children. Molly’s Manger captures the meaning of Jesus’ birth in a way that the young can grasp, and which reminds adults of the peace God offers through His most precious gift. The stable at Bethlehem is a place of complaints and conflict until two weary travelers appear. Soon, the animals forget their troubles as shepherds arrive to view a newborn baby. With gentle humor, Melissa Chapin’s narration and Fatima Kaleem’s illustrations introduce Jesus to the very young.

The animal artwork is adorable. However, it is their change of heart that really makes the story because children also need to know that Jesus changes hearts. Loved the animal perspective and on the night Jesus is born. Would recommend for children up to age 5/6.
